The Pou Manawa framework
A transformative bicultural supervision journey grounded in rongoā, manaakitanga, and whanaungatanga. Created to guide wāhine and māmā to ground themselves in Papatūānuku, listen deeply to their mānawa, and emerge as resilient pillars of strength for their whānau and communities.

Wāhi tuatahi: grounding and sacred belonging
Every journey begins with intentional grounding through the living example of Papatūānuku. In this first stage, our shared space is opened through karakia and pure, cultivating a rongoā setting where authentic connection can flourish.
Here, we embrace ūkaipō, a deeply safe, nurturing sanctuary, also using tūrangawaewae, establishing an environment where you truly belong and can show up in your whole, authentic self.

Wāhi tuarua: mānawa, hā, and honest kōrero
Your mānawa is the life-giving pulse that provides strength and courage, while serving as a compassionate alarm when overwhelm sets in. Through hā, we harness conscious breath to slow down, anchor ourselves in the present, and notice shifts as signals of Aro-Hā.
We create intentional space for kōrero, naming emotions without the pressure to fix them immediately, honoring every feeling as valid and meaningful.

Wāhi tuatoru: whatumanawa and unlocking pūmanawa
Once feelings are voiced and held with care, we enter whatumanawa. Together, we unpack the pūrākau behind your experiences, tapping into ancestral wisdom and your mana wāhine to safely close the space so you never carry supervisory weight back home.
Through this alignment with Māreikura, your pūmanawa inherent gifts and inner strength, is unlocked, allowing you to stand fully as a resilient Poumanawa.
